Monetary Donations
As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, PAVE relies heavily upon the tax deductible donations provided by our community. These donations make up about 10% of PAVE’s annual budget and are required to provide match for our state and federal funding streams. You can give easily and securely online simply by clicking the purple ribbon donate button to the left.

Corporate Donations
PAVE is always looking for businesses to sponsor our annual Sweet Thanks fundraiser, sponsor a particular service we provide (for example, sponsor a shelter bed for a week for $525) or to be a collection site for donations. We are happy to share your story of goodwill in our newsletter.
Securities, Stocks, Bonds or Mutual Funds
Your tax deductible gift will allow you to bypass capital gains taxes. Publicly traded securities, stocks, bonds and mutual funds may be donated to PAVE at their present fair market value, including any “paper profit” in the stock. In this way, you avoid the capital gains tax that would be due if the securities were sold. In most cases, you can also claim an income tax deduction for the full market value the day of the gift. Closely held stock also can be an excellent way to make a donation.

Wills
A bequest – making a donation through your will – is one of the easiest and most effective ways to make sure that your family and friends are fully provided for by your estate. A bequest has the added advantage of lowering your federal estate taxes and reducing estate fee.
Through your will, you can specify that the remainder of your estate (after your family and friends are provided for) goes to charity, or you can specify that a charity receive a pre-determined fixed gift. If you already have executed your will, you can amend it easily through a simple legal device known as a codicil. Trusts
When you decide to make a donation through a trust, you transfer property to the charity to be invested over your lifetime. This charitable trust generates regular income to you and your spouse (or other designated beneficiary) for your lifetime(s). When you and your beneficiary pass, the trust terminates, and the remaining amount in the trust goes on to the charity you choose.
In many cases, the income you receive from this trust during your lifetime will be tax free (depending upon the property used to fund the trust). Also, there are no capital gains taxes on the property that is used to fund the trust. There also may be estate and gift tax savings

Life Insurance
Life insurance has long played an important role in charitable giving. Whether you donate an older policy you no longer need, or start a new policy to donate to a charity, this is a unique way to turn modest annual premiums into a significant donation.

Advocate
By supporting victims – both directly and on a representative level – you can make a difference in their lives.
When you hear about a legislative issue that impact victims, contact your representatives to tell them how you, their constituency, feels about it.

Helping a friend or family member that is being victimized can be difficult. Here are seven tips for how you can be most helpful.
Tell a Friend
Share stories of PAVE’s good work and programs with those you know. Word of mouth is the best way to expand our reach. Connect others with our website, our crisis line, our prevention education programs, our community collaboration teams or our volunteer opportunities. Connect with our agency on Facebook. Like and invite others to like our page. Every person you tell increases the chances that victims will learn and know about our services.
Volunteer
Would you or someone you know like to become a PAVE volunteer? PAVE volunteers are involved in many different activities, including direct services for clients and/or their children, behind-the-scenes shelter operation, fundraising in the community, and so much more!

Our Volunteer Coordinator will then contact you to discuss your interests and talents and to provide you with training on working with PAVE and those we serve.
